Sharon King Hoge is a consultant with a wide range of media experience as a writer, editor and on-air television and radio presenter and as a publicist and events producer.
Sharon King Hoge has an extensive background in print and broadcast media and in public relations. Currently a media consultant and writer, she was one of the original Contributing Editors at “Conde Nast Traveler” and is a Contributing Writer at “Global Traveler” and is Editor at Large for the Cottages & Gardens magazines. She was “Insider” columnist appearing daily on the home page of AOL.com and The “Insatiable Shopper” for “Forbes FYI.” She created and edited the “Today in New York” page for the “New York Daily News,” and participated in the creation of the Delta “Shuttle Sheet.” Her broadcast career includes producing and on-air work at WIND Radio and WLS-TV in Chicago and at ABC-TV, CNBC, and the Food Network. For her reporting at WBZ-TV in Boston she was named National Consumer Reporter of the Year. She has served as an Events Organizer for the Outdoor Life Channel, the “New Yorker Magazine,” and Fleet Bank. Her consulting includes web and organizing work for www.MarthaStewart.com and creating the annual “The Week Magazine” Opinion Awards. A native of North Dakota, she studied at Wheaton College in Massachusetts and at the JFK School at Harvard University. She resides in New York, travels extensively, and keeps eight small homes in Ireland, Nova Scotia, Florida, Connecticut, and New York State.
